1. Who publishes Peg It
Peg It is published by Ryan Bradley, an independent publisher based in Australia. In this policy, “we” means Ryan Bradley. This policy covers the Peg It app, pegitapp.com and support correspondence.
Contact: support@pegitapp.com. We are responsible for the personal information we receive and use as described below. Our location does not determine where the app is available; the App Store listing confirms that.
2. Your saved work
Projects, measurements, templates, notes, tasks, materials, photos and imported plans are stored locally on your device. You do not need a Peg It account, and we do not operate an app cloud-storage or account service.
Camera and motion information support measurement and AR layout on your device. Peg It does not automatically upload your camera feed or saved projects to us.
If you export or share something, the recipient or service you choose receives it. Apple device backups may include app data depending on your settings. Local storage does not prevent you or your device’s backup service from making a separate copy.
3. Device permissions
- Camera: AR measurement, visual layout and photos you choose to take.
- Photos: saving captured images when requested; importing only the images you select through the system picker.
- Location: supported location-dependent features such as True North. Peg It does not request background-location access.
- Motion and orientation: level, orientation and tracking features.
- Files: documents you choose through the system import and export controls.
You can change permissions in iPhone Settings. Declining a permission prevents the related feature from working; tools that do not need that permission remain available.
4. Apple services and reports
Peg It uses Apple services for maps and searches, purchases and optional device backups. These services can process information under Apple’s privacy policy.
Apple handles payments. Peg It uses verified transaction information to check Pro access and does not ask for payment-card details. Apple may make transaction, subscription, sales and diagnostic reports available to us.
We use Apple’s built-in app, crash and performance reports to investigate faults and improve reliability. Reports may contain device and operating-system details, app versions, technical diagnostics or purchase-related identifiers; we do not describe every report as anonymous. Availability depends on Apple’s services and your sharing settings.
Peg It has no added advertising or third-party analytics SDK and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
5. Website and support
Cloudflare hosts and protects pegitapp.com. Delivering the site involves technical request data, such as an IP address, requested URL, request time and browser information. Hosting and security reports help us maintain availability and investigate faults or abuse.
The website has no added marketing analytics, advertising scripts, account signup, contact form or mailing list. Cloudflare security features may use necessary cookies or similar technology. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy and its security-cookie information.
Support email is handled through iCloud Mail. If you contact us, we receive your email address, message and the attachments and technical details you choose to send. We use them to answer your request, investigate the issue and provide related follow-up. Please do not send passwords, card details or unnecessary personal or confidential site information.
6. Why information is used
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we use information as necessary to provide the service or purchase support you request, for our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and maintaining reliable, secure services, and to meet applicable legal obligations. We balance those interests against your privacy rights.
Where processing requires consent, we ask for it and you may withdraw it. Changing a device permission or an Apple sharing setting affects the related activity, not the validity of earlier lawful processing. We do not make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
8. Keeping and deleting information
Support emails and attachments: routine support correspondence is manually deleted no later than 12 months after the issue is resolved, or sooner when no longer needed. This covers support copies we retain, including downloaded attachments. Specific records may be kept longer where a legal obligation requires it; we limit that retention to the records and period needed. The process is manual, not an automatic mailbox feature.
Technical and purchase information: reports kept within Apple’s or Cloudflare’s systems follow the provider’s retention arrangements. We do not keep a separate visitor-profile database. Any report we retain to investigate an individual support case follows that case’s retention period. Other retained diagnostic information is deleted when the investigation and related reliability work no longer need it; financial records are kept for the period required by applicable law.
Saved app work: there is no yearly purge of your saved work. The support-email rule does not delete your projects, measurements, templates or photos. Use the app’s record controls to manage these. Read deletion confirmations: removing a folder and removing its records are different actions.
Imported plan originals are eligible for cleanup when no saved record or active editor history needs them. Copies exported to Photos, Files, other recipients or backups are managed separately and are not removed by deleting an app record. Deletion is not a promise of forensic erasure.
You can ask us to delete support correspondence earlier. If we must retain particular information, we will explain the applicable reason. There is no Peg It user account to delete.
9. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may ask to access or correct information we hold about you, request deletion or restriction, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or request a portable copy where that right applies. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on it.
Email support@pegitapp.com with your request or complaint. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. We may need proportionate information to verify your request; do not send identity documents unless we have agreed a necessary, safe way to do so.
You may also complain to the data-protection authority where you live or work, or where the relevant issue occurred, where that right applies. Examples include the Information Commissioner’s Office and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
We cannot retrieve local app records that you have not shared with us. Manage those records on your device. Peg It is designed for DIY and professional planning, not specifically for children; contact us if you believe a child has sent us personal information that should be removed.
10. Protecting information
We use the app’s local storage protections, secure website delivery and restricted access to support services to help protect information. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Protect access to your device and Apple Account, and check the contents and recipients before sharing project information.
11. Policy updates
This policy was updated on 20 September 2026. We will update it when relevant practices change and provide additional notice of significant changes where required. The date above identifies the current version.
