1. Open Measure and choose Line.
2. Allow camera access, then slowly move your phone over a well-lit, textured surface.
3. Wait for normal tracking and a visible placement marker. Line up the marker with your first physical point, then add it.
4. Move to your second point and add it. Read the result, then save it or add it to a project.

Start with a short distance you can check with a tape measure. Avoid reflective, featureless or poorly lit surfaces.

The pin is the reference point that fixes where your shape sits. The direction controls how the whole shape rotates around that point—it does not change the shape’s dimensions.

1. Choose a quick shape or a template.
2. Place the starting pin on a physical point you can clearly identify.
3. Adjust the starting position if needed.
4. Look at the full footprint while adjusting its direction.
5. Lock the alignment once it looks right, then use the corner targets as a guide for your physical marks.

For example, place a rectangle’s centre pin over a centre peg, then rotate the rectangle to line up with the area you are planning.

Peg It is preparing for its first App Store release. The official download link will be added here at launch. The App Store listing will confirm availability in your region and the supported devices.

Peg It uses your iPhone’s camera and AR tracking to measure spaces and position layouts. The accuracy you achieve depends on your device, lighting, surface detail, movement, distance and where you place the reference points.

For the best results, use well-lit surfaces with visible detail, move steadily and check the reference against a known measurement. “Normal” tracking describes the tracking state, not a guaranteed measurement tolerance.

Peg It is not a survey-grade instrument. Check critical dimensions and positions with equipment suited to the job’s tolerances, especially before cutting, ordering or building. Legal boundaries, structural decisions, buried services and safety-critical work need the appropriate professional checks.

Pause marking. Move slowly back towards a well-lit, textured area and check that tracking has recovered. Recheck the reference point and alignment against real marks before continuing. If they no longer agree, adjust or re-establish the layout.

A new or interrupted AR session must be aligned again. A saved template is a design, not a permanent real-world anchor.

For supported Pro templates, use existing-edge alignment: choose the template reference line and its anchor position, place that reference point, then visually rotate the AR edge to match the surviving physical edge.

This is a visual alignment guide. It does not measure the real edge, scale the template or establish survey control.

Metal, machinery, vehicles and electrical equipment can affect your phone’s compass. Move away from interference where it is safe to do so. Do not use the compass alone for precise placement.

True North needs suitable heading and location information. Magnetic North is a separate reference; the app should identify which is being used.

On your iPhone, open Settings, find Peg It under Apps, and review its available permissions. Camera access is needed for AR measurement and layout. Location is used for features such as True North, rather than as precise positioning.

If access is restricted by Screen Time or device management, you may need the device owner or administrator’s help. If the app still won’t recover, email support.

Projects, templates and saved records are stored locally on your device. There is no Peg It account or developer-operated cloud-sync service. Apple’s device backup may include app data, depending on your settings.

Export important work before deleting the app or changing phones. Do not assume it will appear automatically on another device.

Use the camera capture control inside the measurement or template-placement screen. Review the captured image, then use its save options to keep it in a project or save to Photos.

Check that the needed labels are visible in the preview. Saving to Photos requires permission to add images.

Read the confirmation before deleting: deleting a folder can keep its records, while deleting a record removes that record from the app. Copies you exported to Photos, Files or shared with someone else remain in those locations.

Imported plan originals are kept while a saved record or active editor history still needs them, then become eligible for cleanup. Device backups are managed separately by Apple. See the retention and deletion details.

Core Line, Area, Perimeter and Circle measurement, Level, and quick Rectangle, Circle, Line and Triangle are free. Free includes two project folders. Custom templates, paths, patterns, advanced measurements, unlimited project folders and professional exports require Pro.

Make sure your iPhone is using the Apple Account that purchased Pro for Media & Purchases. Open Peg It’s Settings and choose Restore purchases. You can also restore from the Pro purchase screen.

An expired or refunded subscription may no longer provide Pro access. Email support if you have an active purchase that is not recognised; do not send your password or full payment details.

Manage subscriptions in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting Peg It does not cancel a subscription.

For an Apple-billed purchase, use Apple’s refund request process. Eligibility depends on the circumstances and applicable rights; approval is not guaranteed.
